“John, what's the weirdest thing you ever did sexually?”

Fishburne: “Nothing seems that weird anymore, man.”

Goldblum: “......................Then we're almost there.”

Some really great, bizarre exchanges between characters.

After Fishburne recites his poem to Clarence Williams III to mark Belinda's death, Williams stares straight at him:

"YOU AND ME ARE ONE..."

Clarence Williams III/Taft had a strong feeling that Fishburne/John was an undercover cop.

Why?

He (Taft) was obviously more than stunned after the first session in court when Fishburne walked out like nothing had happened after Goldblum had talked to the judge.

As an experienced policeman, Taft KNEW that something was fishy.

Fishburne got off because he wasn't caught with real drugs. It was some sort of baby laxative. Also, if Taft knew he was a cop then why not stay the hell out his way? I never knew why Taft said they were one, and I still don't. Its like the movie is missing a couple of scenes where those two bonded or something.

I know, right? I thought the same, maybe he saw himself in Fishburne's character.
