Favourite scenes

What was your favourite scene in Jewels?

Mine was when William proposed to Sarah and their first Christmas together. I also liked the wedding scene.

I loved the opening of the stores, where William says "They've come, and They're buying." It's wonderful to see how people can triumph out of war. This is obviously a completely fictional tale but plenty of families had to start over after the World Wars, unfortunately they didn't all have the luxury of being royalty.

Correction...."They've come and they're buying." was actually "Not only did they come they're buying." And it was not said by William but by Emanuelle at the opening of the first store in Paris.

my favorite scenes are when william and sarah are on thier first evening out together dancing. also william's funeral. you can just see the heartache on sarah's face. it seems so real. ive seen this movie a thousand times and that scene always makes me cry.

I see this many times on television and the saddest scene is when William collapses in front of his twin children; It tears your heart to hear Isabelle say "daddy, what is wrong with you!"

My all time fav. scene in Jewels is the part of Isabel's wedding, even after Sarah consulted her daughter about her choice of husband. It starts to rain and ruin the "big wedding" and then Sarah stares to the sky and says, "Oh William!"

Love it!!!

Didn't realise this would be on IMDB!

The one who played the young Isabelle (Kristy) - thats my cousin!

Anyone got any ideas where I can get a copy of this drama? I did record it years ago, but mislaid.

Thanks!

I've never seen it, but someone mentioned a DVD on another thread, so I've just looked it up... and found it being sold on eBay! See e.g. this page:

You might be able to find it cheaper somewhere else, but at least now you know you can get it. :)

When William surprises Sarah in her hotel in Rome which is full of red roses.

When William surprises Sarah at the chateau which results in the conception of Lizzie.

Lizzie's death causing Sarah and Joachim to cry like crazy.

When Sarah caught Philip and Yvonne in the stables at the chateau.

Julian forcing Yvonne to remain married and carry the baby to term.

Philip telling Lorenzo no dictates to his family and no one tells them what to do. He also said, "You insulted my mother!"

The only part of the movie that is better than the book because it makes Phillip look like a redeemable character.
