I saw it when it first aired on TV and then they showed it again in 1995. I misssed the last half of it in 95 even though I had seen the complete thing in 92. Is it in DVD somewhere. I remember a creature and I remember they found a place that had been abandoned years ago in some building or something. I get the feeling this movie was sort of like the series "Lost". Though I rarely ever watch Lost I just remember it had that weird, surreal stuff, and strange things.

Yes, it has been released on DVD, but it´s rare. But I actually found copies on amazon.com
Try and search for "the presence"(the alternate title for Danger Island), click in the "DVD"-icon in the left column and there it is. Hope this helps.

The dvd is petty good for a low-budget local distributor, Platinum Disc Corp from LaCrosse WI. The cover art is a misleading collage but it's in a nice acrylic case and the reproduction is good. I got mine via Amazon. EBay probably has it as well, but in either case, make sure you do not accidentally order "Danger Island", the Krofft Brothers kidvid serial from THE BANANA SPLITS SHOW (costarring a young Jan Michael Vincent).

My sister lives in LaCrosse! Well, used to. She and the hubby and kids live in Bangor now, about ten miles outside of it. Next time I'm up that way, I'll have to track it down and see what's what.
