In relation to apocrypha

I'm not implying any influences here, but I did seem to notice a correlation in this film about idealogy concerning sex between higher and lower beings as in the apocryphal book of Enoch. If you're unfamilar with this text, it starts off with the story of a rebellion of angels who came to earth to seduce women and bear offspring by them. Because of this unholy act, the world became filled with abominations of beings like giants, and in the film's case, resulted in abomination "doodles" flooding the world.

Aside from being a mild dose of LSD, this film was pretty thought-provoking in some measures, and I thought this was the most interesting tidbit that came to mind. Any further thoughts on these types of symmetrical idealogies would be welcome.
