Tribute Concert 11/2011 - in theory.

As good as this concert was, I don't think it lives up to Freddie's standards. It was a rush job to say the lease (Only 4 months after his death). Let's hear your input as to what bands you would like to see in a new tribute concert...and what song(s) you would recommend they play?

Mine:
Taylor Swift '39 - Seaside Rendezvous
Carrie Underwood Love of my Life / Who Wants to Live Forever
Beyonce Bring Back That Leroy Brown / Somebody To Love
Nickelback Killer Queen / Don't Stop Me Now
Kanye West Another One Bites The Dust / Body Language
Zac Brown Band Seven Seas of Rhye / Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Kings of Leon Bicycle Race / Fat Bottomed Girls
Dave Matthews Band Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy / Good Company
Green Day Going Slightly Mad/ Under Pressure (W/The Killers of course)
The Killers Hammer To Fall / Now I'm Here (With Katy Perry)
All-Amer. Rejects Doing All-Right / Death on Two Legs (To his record label...)
Black Eyed Peas We Will Rock You / Fist Half of Bohemian Rhapsody
Metallica Second Half of Bohemian Rhapsody / Modern Time Rock
My Chem Romance Dragon Attack / Ogre Battle
Fall Out Boy Stone Cold Crazy / Save Me
Dave Matthews All Dead All Dead (with his guitar)
(Not Morbid, is a great song that should be included)

She came without a farthing A babe without a name
So much ado 'bout nothing Is what she'd try to say
So much ado my lover So many games we played
Through ev'ry fleeted summer Through ev'ry precious day

All dead all dead
All the dreams we had And I wonder why I still live on
All dead all dead
And alone I'm spared My sweeter half instead All dead and gone
all dead

All dead all dead
At the rainbow's end And still I hear her own sweet song
All dead all dead
Take me back again You know my little friend's
All dead and gone

Her ways are always with me I wander all the while
But please you must forgive me I am old but still a child

All dead all dead
But I should not grieve In time it comes to everyone
All dead all dead
But in hope I breathe Of course I don't believe You're dead and gone
All dead and gone

What a show

I'm sorry, no offense, but that list was truley awful.. I mean, how can you go from David Bowie, Robert Plant and Rodger Daltry, to Kanye West, My Chemical Romance and Beyonce. I'm sorry, but Taylor Swift and Fall Out Boy really aren't in the same league as Elton John, Guns N Roses, Def Leppard, or hell, even Spinal Tap. Bad choice.

You're missing the point. It's 20 years later, and there is a new generation of new talent out there that have gotten their insperation from Freddie Mercury. I don't want to see Elton and Spasm Boy sing B.R. ever again. And as an older man (in my 40s) I would enjoy seeing a concert with todays artists honoring Queen.

Oh I understand this, i'm 15 years old and I think it'd be great, but I think that those bands you suggested really aren't bringing anything new to the music scene. Might I suggest bands such as Korn, Marilyn Manson, Muse, Wheezer, Faith No More, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, etc etc.
