2 versions of this film? Or am I crazy?

About 15 years ago, I saw a movie which had a scene towards the end that has always stuck with me. And I just watched this movie recently and I noticed how similar the supernatural climax at the end was to the scene in question.
The scene:
I seem to recall a nun walking up to the top of a cliff and performing some kind of ritualistic chant whilst moving her arms in strange motions. I think I remember this scene being tied in with a series of other scene concerning the main plot (although I don't remember what that plot was) and having bizarre climatic music. At the end of all of this, it shows the nun standing on the cliff (facing the camera) as she slowly fades out and turns into a crucifix, at which point the camera pans down the face of the cliff. That's all I remember.
The scene at the end of Cold Heaven struck me as to how similar the two scenes were and I was just wondering if there is in fact a second version of this film. Otherwise, if there is another film out there that contains this scene, can somebody please let me know which film it is. THANK YOU!

Coud you possibly be thinking of Black Narcissus?

The version Netflix has streaming is listed as being 102 minutes long. The film is listed here on IMDB as being 105 minutes. Do you think they have an edited version of the film? (They've had problems with this in the past, the first title that comes to mind is The Bird with the Crystal Plumage.) Or do you think Netflix's version simply has some of the credits dropped?
