Nice textures in many shots

I caught part of this movie when it was being shown on HDNet.

I was impressed by the textures in many of the scenes, like several overhead shots of the roofs in the City of Joy and the shot of the train rumbling by the godfather's compound. They are quite atmospheric and did a good job of transporting me into the world of the movie.

Any opinions of the DP's work in this movie you would like to share?
