Street Fighter?

Is this the Jacjie Chan movie where they get sucked into a Street Fighter 2 machine? I remember seeing it years ago, it's so funny and bizarre. Does anyone else remember this?

reply

Yes. It's so funny I almost died watching it.

Someone just showed me the Street Fighter fight scene, and man, I gotta say, it's funny as heck! Obviously you'll have to of seen the original Street Fighter 2 game to enjoy the scene fully (since they use music and sound effects from the game), but this is funny. It's also what the real Street Fighter movie should've been like hehe.

After seeing that scene, I kinda wished Gary Danials should have been Ken in the Street Fighter movie, man that guy is a seriously talented martial artist and his sub par acting wouldn't have made much difference to that movie.

Hmm, I can't get the link to work.

The best part has to be when he gets knocked out as E.Honda. The bouncing up and down on the ground over and over again, just reminds me of playing the game.

reply

That was actually better than the Street Figher movie hehehe.

reply

Hahahaha! Just saw the Street Fighter scene. I was never much of a Jackie Chan fan, but this stuff is golden.

Yeah City Hunter is sweet. I used to work in an anime store a few years ago before City Hunter was widely released in the USA. Half of the fun of the movie was exposing it to friends and surprising them. I havent seen the movie in a while, but ill check it out again.
The Street Fighter scene is cool, but personally i prefer the Bruce Lee "Game Of Death" sequence.

Yep, that StreetFighter2 scene is pretty priceless.

One of the best scenes in film history and a gazillion times better than the movie. Though I was expecting a Ryu/Ken showdown at the end with Ryu winning of course. But still, great scene.

reply

Come on, we got Jackie as Chun Li instead, can't beat that.

reply

Yes. Great sequence! Love the whole film but that bit is a favourite! Gary Daniels really looks like Ken as well! :D
