They should have ditched plans for the dire Bless This House film and made Carry On Columbus instead.

Norman Huddis could have done the script in a rare one -off writing partnership with Talbot Rothwell.

With both great writers and all the Carry On team you could have had a great classic in 1972.What a wasted chance and to think we got a dire sitcom film instead and a poor Carry On entry in 1992.I would have prefered one great Carry On film in 1972 myself !

Great cast Mathew but in my opinion nothing would have saved this dud.
