Michael Nightengale , Patsy Rowlands , Julian Holloway , Suzanne Danielle , Windsor Davies , Melvyn Hayes , Angela Douglas , Ian Lavandar , David Lodge & Norman Rossington could have replaced most of the new people in this film.

The script should have been peppered with tributes to the dearly departed cast members and Norman Huddis should have written it in tandem with Vince Powell & Dave Freeman. They should have taken twice as long to do it to produce a really high quality satire.

Big roles should have gone to Kenneth Connor , Barbara Windsor , Joan Simms & Bernard Bresslaw as well as Victor Madden. Had the screenplay been better & had the old guard been respected with bigger roles then they might have jumped on board.

Had they anticipated the 1992 anniversary of 500 years since the discovery of the Americas & filmed in 1991 then Frankie Howerd & Terry Scott could have been in the film too.

Dick Van Dyke could have been the American Chief.

Frankie Howerd was cast as the King but died shortly before filming began.

Barbara Windsor, Joan Sims and Bernard Bresslaw turned it down. Kenneth Connor said he wanted to be remembered as a Carry On star, not a Carry On bit player.
