Yes, it's a very good horror film indeed, with the sort of genuinely disgusting but at the same time very articulate and attractive "monster" that embodies a real ontology, that you often meet in Clive Barker's literary and film universe.
For some reason, the shot that disturbs me the most in Candyman is the one of the empty, cold apartment behind Helen's bathroom wall cabinet, and I can't explain why.
