Madsen was hypnotized durring filming and doesnt remember entire days

In this clip she talks about it and in a more recent interview she said director Rose had no right to do it to her and it should have been stopped;(she agreed to it though) I am looking for that link. I always thought that whacked out look she manifested was some brilliant acting being done, but apparently it wasnt her acting at all. She was not able to "method act" that part of the script so they had to hypnotize her for entire days. I still like her a lot but this definitely shows her limitations when it comes to acting.

Thats really crazy isn't it? The hypnotist can also tell her to remember all of her lines as well. What convinced me as to how powerful hypnotism is was at a lounge where they had a hypnotist on stage as the entertainment and he had volunteers from the audience go up. Now I knew a few of the volunteers or otherwise I would have suspected it was set up. He had then do all sorts of embarrassing stuff that they would not have done even if paid. One of things he did showed how long it could last. He put several people under and told them to do something every time they heard him say a certain word or phrase. He then sent them back to their seats and told them not to remember anything, not even that they were on stage. As example, one of the persons was a very shy individual(he worked at the same company as me) that could barely even respond when someone said hello to him. 20 minutes later he heard the hypnotist say: "Showtime" and this extremely bashful guy would stand up and start singing "Bad to the Bone" while taking on a tough guy stance and dance! Then he would sit down and not remember a thing. Another good one was a guy that would fall asleep for a few seconds when he heard his keyword. Now this guy was sitting with his drinking buddy and it was very obvious they were not a "couple" or anything like that. What made this really funny is that when he fell asleep, he would fall against the chest of his buddy sitting next to him. The guys reaction having his friend nestled against him was to die for! LOL..He panicked with embarrassment at what it looked like and tried to slap him awake and move him. Then the one in the trance was even more embarrassed because seconds later he awoke in his friends lap. Everybody in the place couldnt stop laughing. The hypnotist made each of the volunteers forget the key word at the end of the show. Hypnotism is more effective on certain people than others but in all its quite amazing how it works. Scary even.

"Goodness Joe, even your sister Sara would have understood that!"
