Even now, over 20 years since I first saw the film, I sometimes find myself reciting Ben's poem about the pigeon: 'Pigeon, pigeon / Winged maw of grey'.

I think this must be a "real song". Probably some old song. But I just cannot find it. They seem to be singing about the movie Port of Shadows (1938). But I don't know if the song is from that movie or not. Would like to know.

I think it's the opening tune of an old nineties tv-programme discussing the latest films on Belgian channel RTBF.
