Was anyone else forced to watch this in school as a kid?

I remember watching this movie several times throughout my elementary years. I suppose it was to teach us good moral values and whatnot. Was anyone else forced to watch this?

yup... back when i was in 2nd grade... every few weeks during our snack hour our teachers popped that movie in. I didn't mind it much because I enjoyed the movie back then. My teachers seemed to show a lot of movies that taught us how to behave, you know. Like we watched plays (video taped) by teens teaching us not to smoke, not to drink, not to cheet, etc. and almost any other movie teaching good values that they could get their hands on...

It was a choice in my school...either watch this or read a book...everyone watched and enjoyed...sometimes we would put 2 grades in 1 classroom and all watch 2gether...I'm looking to buy this movie for my son..well and myself..

Yeah, all my teachers from about 3rd grade up until 6th grade tortured my class with this movie. All it made me want to do is only button the top button of my shirt and wear a bandanna.

We watched this at my elementary school back in the early-mid 90's as well...

They forced us to watch the first half of this movie almost every day of 2nd grade.
But I don't think I ever paid attention or knew what was going on.
To think, I could've been learning.
