I watched this for the first time in about 15 years. I remember watching this over and over as a kid. I never could get into the series. Kristy will always be Buffy to me. Also its unbelievable that "Nicki" (the black girl) was 30 years old when this was filmed. Just like Stacey Dash in clueless.
shareI'd definitely rather let kids under the age of 10 watch the 1992 movie than most episodes of the TV series. The movie does have a certain Disney-style lilt to it, even though it's technically supposed to be a "teen" film.

shareI really love early '90s films. It's weird, because I actually hated the time period while I was living through it. But characters in those films just seem more....innocent, somehow. Everything seems more relaxed, with fewer hand-held gadgets being toted around and more colorful clothing, and nobody looks like they spent 45 minutes on their hair. It now seems as long ago as the Eisenhower/Kennedy years must have been to those living through the Watergate era.
