This was a really good movie.

I can't believe there aren't more posts about it. I really enjoyed this movie. Some parts are really sad, and others are funny. We really get to know the characters and see their friendship. I highly recommend it.

A question: Do you think they were really singing "You Really Got a Hold on Me"? In the credits it said the song was performed by the Bobs, so I guess not. Still, it would've been cool lol. That song fit really well into the movie.

I agree completely. I liked this movie too. I didn't like Annie Potts character but it worked.

I thought it was pretty obvious that they weren't singing. It was hoaky :)

I love this movie! I remember seeing it when I was when I was younger, but I couldn't remember any of the other actors beyond Jason Batemen. Oh my, it was such a tear jerker! Now I really want to rent it, lol.

This film is playing on Showtime this month under it's original title, Sketches. I was impressed, it reminds me of a Beaches for teenagers. I wonder why this movie sat on the shelf for two years. Bateman gives a riveting performance here!

I agree! Bateman does give a great performance! Good flick

I'm surprised comcast gave this movie 1/4 stars. It's definitely 2 stars. I remember watching this movie over 10 years ago (particularly the binaca scene after the bar fight) and thought it was a pretty good movie. I was shocked to see IMDB only gave it 5/10 rating. This movie is better than the ratings it got and, like the other poster mentioned, is Beaches for teenagers. Nice to know all 3 actors ended up doing well in their careers.

For some reason, I just stumbled acrosst this movie on Showtime and decided to watch it. Glad I did! :) Not really a movie buff...but I really did like this movie even though of course, watching it now, many years after its' release, some of the things were dated. BUT it was sooo very good. I even cried (which is a good thing LOL). See it!

There isn't a lot of good people but there is a lot of good in people!

I like this film a lot, let's say 3 out of 4 stars. It's a great buddy film, showing true friendship by taking one of the crew on an unforgettable journey. Annie Potts was especially gorgeous in her water-ballet scene.

well this is on the short list of movies that Roger Ebert gave 0 out of 4 stars to.
