Amazing film showing male affection

I don't recall seeing a film with such unapologetic male affection without any of the characters accusing the other of acting "gay".

Even at the beginning when one friend tells the other two he use to massage a kid's erection through his pants with his stockinged foot back in elementary school, the other two just laugh their their butts off.

It's sad that in other shows, the only display of affection one straight male friend shows his dying friend is a "pat" on the back, it was refreshing to see a film where the guys actually cry into another's chest, wipe away another's tears, and hold each other. They even slept in the same bed.

I think if more men at least in this country would allow themselves to be platonically affectionate together without the bravado we all would be amotionally healthier. This movie for just that is an interesting study.

I totally agree. It was nice to see a realistic view on how childhood friends show affection and care for each other. Childhood friends are like brothers. I found the film to be very touching...

Plus, It's only gay if you're gay

Haha! I was just flipping channels and saw young Bateman with that wig on. I had never heard of this movie. Just then, I saw Silverman telling his ball-rubbing story. You're right! I totally thought they were gonna go, "Dude! You are SO GAY!" They just laughed about it. It was cool.
