Why are so many calling it Dead Alive? It's Braindead

I've never known it as anything else, and this is "Reply to: Braindead (1992)"

Dead Alive would be a stupid title, Braindead is much more soothing. For the obvious zombie reason, and for how stupid everyone are in this movie.

The version I saw had a "Dead Alive" title-card. Braindead is the original title but Dead Alive is still valid.

He is not coming back. He has forgotten me.

They named it Dead Alive in the US. Also cut it down quite a lot.

Not if you own the unrated version. The Braindead cut has more scenes but not much more. It's only a few minutes longer.

The US had a film called Braindead already so they had to change it.
