IMO Marcus was used to women throwing themselves at him and he would use that to his advantage by sleeping with them,then never speaking to them again..basically playing them. But with Jaquelin he actually caught feelings for her,was falling in love and she was playing him by just using him for sex. He wanted much more from her,but she played him by doing to him what he was use to doing to women.

Marcus didn't want anything to do with the women after he "Had" them,..but in his defense, because they didn't meet his (RIDICULOUS) Standard, as his friend/Grier pointed out to him.
Jacqueline was basically a Dude that P'd sitting down:):) And Jacqueline did want to continue "Seeing" Ed but,...She only wanted the Drawls, while meeting Marcus standard (mostly sexually and cosmetically/FEET wise:):)).
It's one of me/family/friends favorite movie, so underrated.
She f#cked him, made him catch feeling then she dumped him without any feeling. Basically it was the same thing Marcus had been doing to women thru out the movie. Karma is a b#tch!
