Why rob the store when youre dealing hard grugs and firearms?

I love this film but dont really get why they take a girls life and rob that store? It doesnt make any sense to me...

Were they really that stupid?

Consider that Blood seemed determined to sponsor Sid in the Jackels, but Sid was reluctant. Price had told Sid that he was forbidden to join, because "you have to commit a felony in the presences of two club members. It's in the club by-laws!"

My guess is that Blood was using this to force Sid into the club, where Blood could control him. Sid was a 'participant' in a robbery and, as it turned out, a murder. Blood may have assumed that this would qualify Sid for membership, removing any objections, and also bind Sid closer by virtue of the conspiracy.

Okay, it sounds thin to me, too.

And also it would be fun for them.

and sid was the only one wearing colors..

In real life the President of an MC wouldn't just shoot a girl like that for no reason. Seems like they just added that cause the movie needed Blood to be a bad guy.

pretty sure that was the point.
makes perfect sense, except for the whole control thing. but maybe that does too

It was supposed to be Charlie Sheen's character's initiation into the motorcycle club. It wasn't about the money, it was about committing a felony in front of his biker peers.

Dan was reluctant to arrest blood because he saved his life. This scene was necessary to remove Dan's objections so he would not feel bad about putting him away.
