Some Like It Hot connection

When I first saw the film and the scenes with the crossdressing, I thought a bout "Some Like it Hot" and how Gabino Diego actually looked like, or was made to look like, Tony Curtis in drag. Imagine my surprise when I read somewhere that director Trueba actually was thinking of "Hot" and it was one of his favorite films!!
