I agree, I'm from holland and I try to get a DVD from this movie but it is very hard. I liked "La Belle Histoire" when it was on dutch television, I stil remember the tune. So you suggest I should go to french sites in my search of any Beatrice Dalle DVD's? Do you know any?

Hope for a DVD with English subtitles to magically appear! Remember "les abeilles d'Israel" theme, which appears moments into the film? These marvellous actors who showed us why we love such totally enveloping films. The story has never been told so well. The human ability for redemption through loving awareness. Magnifique!
Maybe in Belgium I can get hold of La Belle Histoire? Or any other Beatrice Dalle titles? I go there sometimes, I will ask around if they can maybe order for me.

i purchased a 2012 remastered edition from Medusa HE, Italy, (nicer cover with Beatrice Dalle close up)but it still lacks english subs-thats OK-it is a visual feast-I would expect Criterion would want to put this out
