I sent a email to synapse films, regarding the release of Basket Case 3, here is the email i sent to them,
Hello i have a question regarding "Basket Case 3: The Progeny" i've heard that yall have aquired rights to reissue the DVD of the film, is this true?
this was their response,
Yes, we have acquired BASKET CASE 3. Currently, it isn't on the schedule,but we hope to start it sometime this year.

The gang at Synapse are notoriously slow getting stuff on disc (I seem to recall a huge delay after it was announced they were releasing the first sequel, as well). But on the plus side, they put a helluva lotta of TLC into their discs (which could be why they're slow). Hopefully they can get Henenlotter to participate in extras, but regardless, there's no question it'll be a better release than the fuzzy, bare-bones disc that Fox put out in 2004... and for me, that makes it well worth the wait.

Now a new DVD is set to come out on the 9th of this October. Unfortunately, the only bonus feature will be a trailer.
