I love Basket Case, the 2nd one is ok. I think the third one is just painful though.

You give the first movie a 1/10... I kind of understand why you would watch the sequel... which you give also give a 1/10... but why watch part 3 if you hated the first 2 so much?

Something tells me that you didn't see them.

ajmal-m: added to the list of people who didn't get what the movies were going for. They're quite funny and never try to be anything but a silly gore and freak make up extravaganza.

I had way more FUN watching these than any trilogy i've seen lately... they were all great if you're into the genre.

My BC IMDB ratings:

Basket Case: 7/10 - Good Grindhouse-esque fun!
Basket Case 2: 5/10 - Too many freaks and started to go the full-on "camp" route.
Basket case 3: 4/10 - a tad worse then the 2nd. Didn't like that they switched from the City to the Country!

All in all, I can't say its the 'worst' trilogy ever. The worst horror series should go to those God Awful HOWLING movies!!! Only the 1st one is "good"...all the sequels were awful!!!

I realize the OP's a troll, but in all fairness I suppose his subject line is accurate. I mean, how many movie trilogies are there? Godfather, Back to the Future, Star Wars, Basket Case and Scream (though Star Wars went the dumb double-trilogy route, and it seems Scream is now following suit). Plenty of franchises, few trilogies. Looking at it that way, Basket Case is unquestionably the worst of the bunch... though they are intentionally bad.

And jorgito2001, gotta completely disagree with you on one point. "Howling VI: The Freaks" was a decent, quirky little film. Much like "Halloween III: Season of the Witch," it should have been released as a stand-alone flick rather than a sequel. The rest of the Howling films were crap though.
