OMG! I can't believe i actually sat through all of this. Its so camp and cheesy. Granny Ruth must a drag queen with her drag show on the bus and Duane is as annoying as ever.
The FX are so lame and cheesy i just laughed every time anything happened. Especially when Belial killed all those cops in the gaol.
But after all the lameness, i thought it was fun to watch. Heck, i didn't turn it off which i so could have easily done.

What's REALLY ironic is this is the cheesiest of all 3, and it was released by a MAJOR film distributor, MCA/Universal. I love the police station scene, the cop that gets strangled until his eyes pop out on stalks and his teeth and gums protrude, and the cop that gets his head twisted around backwards had me rolling with laughter. That is precisely what they were going for, over-the-top cartoony gore, much like the 2nd. The 1st, in my opinion, was kind of lame compared to the next 2. If it wasn't for Duane's character and Belial's look, the 1st could have been a completely different movie from the 2nd and 3rd, which are very similar.

shareI think I had a reason for asking but I forgot what it was. Oh well; as long as I'm here, did you see 'Brain Damage'? It shares the same continuity with BC. It's not a sequel or anything but Kevin Van Hentenryck has a cameo as Duane Bradley (and yes, the basket is with him)
I did see Brain Damage but didn't like it. It was a long time ago though. I think it's just because I found it gross but not entertaining. I like Frankenhooker though.
