Pretty wEiRd but...

Hey guys,

How are you doing ?

Ok ok, I like many movies produced by Charles Band, I own some dvd box sets and I loved "Trancers" for exemple.

Last night I gave a chance to "Bad Channels" and....

This is so WeIrD, but fun ! Should I say WeiRd and fun ? :-D

Ok it's cheap for sure and slow and veeery cheesy but I still found it very fun most of the time. Don't expect anything big but just a cheap & cool really little sci-fi movie. The atmosphere is cool and I liked the songs since I'm into Metal myself. Sometimes you feel like you're watching David Lee Roth's famous great 1986 30minutes video that I found so cool instead of a movie :-p

I know this is going to sound strange to some of you but I was surprised and actually enjoyed the fact that the 4 ladies locked in the bubbles didn't get naked or completely underweared! Most of Charles Band productions do show too much naked girls in my opinion so I was happy to see these good looking and sexy women dressed or not naked at least (no I'm not gay and I respect Ladies so I enjoyed them like that!! :-)

Ok I might watch "Netherworld" next, my dvd box set is almost empty.. :-( But then I have another one waiting :-D !!

I'm a movie buff and Stanley Kubrick is my Master & guide (my gosh, his name here :-p) but I also enjoy these cheap & funny sci-fi flicks!!

It's cool when you can enjoy this and also enjoy chef d'oeuvres. I guess we have to leave things at the place they should be.

Have a nice day!

I think this movie is rather underrated. It seems to more or less be universally disliked by most people who've seen it, including full moon fans. Maybe because it's not a serious film? Either way, it's a goofy and fun ride while it lasts and it pays a nice tribute to 1950s B movies, War of the Worlds, and rock and roll.
It's also not afraid to be cheesy, where other Full Moon movies have seemingly failed because they take themselves too seriously and their meager budget complicates the ability for the viewer also take whatever particular film seriously.

Definitely one of Full Moon's better offerings, along with Puppet Master 1 through 3, Demonic Toys, Castle Freak, Subspecies, and Doctor Mordrid.
