I really couldn't stand the actor that played the agent.
He kept accusing the already grief-stricken mother of trying to kill her baby.
As I think that the police lieutanant kept telling the agent that he was wrong and that the locals were right.
No wonder Hollywood makes the feds turn out to being jacka**es!
I never could understand why he seemed so determined to believe Karen was responsible for her baby's disappearance. I know it's sadly standard for parents to be the first suspects when a child is kidnapped or murdered, but, really, he seemed like he WANTED her to be guilty rather than entertain any other possibility. I think Karen deserved a full apology from him at the end. I have to wonder if his demeanor would have been the same had that baby belonged to a wealthy educated mother with her husband still in the picture. But since he was dealing with a poor uneducated woman with no husband and three kids by two different fathers, one of whom was still married, he couldn't believe she was an innocent victim. Sad how so much of society can be so biased about what constitutes a good mother.
