The woman that was the mom said the only difference is that the law enforcement people were played in a really unsympathetic way. But in real life, despite being "ruthless" they understood why. Meaning she, knew that they had family members in law enforcment.

how come the baby wouldn't stop screaming, she was only a few weeks old, she wouldn't of become that attached to its mother in that time, she was screaming nonstop,

Babies become attached to their mothers and environment at a very young age. The baby just sensed something was different which was probably why. I'm sure if they kept her long enough she would have settled down.
