No disrespect to John Goodman, who I think is a great actor; I like him in almost everything he does, a lot.

But he is miscast here.
Babe Ruth was simply never that big, especially in his youth and early career.

One of the few sports movies I can think of that was worse than this was the original, with William Bendix.

Will someone please do justice to one of the Top 10 icons in all of American History?

Very badly miscast more like Fred Flintstone playing babe ruth. Babe Ruth was a big guy but not a fat slob like john goodman. Who I agree is a good actor but looked like an idiot playing a sports figure. The true story of ruth is much more fantastic then any movie made about him so far. I thknk if they just made a histrically accurate movie it would be way more interesting then this drivel.
