I was watching Lost in Translation the other day, and I noticed the island in the background as Charlotte is riding the train to Heian Jingu looks rather similar to the island in the background in A Scene at the Sea. Anyone else notice this? Or am I just seeing nothing?
shareThis is a rather late reply...but...anyway, I think the area where most of the story took place was around Kamakura or Enoshima. Then the surfing competition was supposed to take place in Chiba. None of it looked like Chiba to me though.
If someone knows for sure please post.
the spot looks very much like kamakura...it even has plenty of surfers there
but i'm not too sure as the sand in the movie is almost black and kamakura's is of brown color...but hey, kamakura is a close guess ;)
