Sooooo if there’s a fire in the Sulaco

Instead of having some kind of automatic sprinkler system it instead ejects your cryotube out into space where your chances of not dying are pretty much zero??? Seems like a pretty definite design flaw.

Apparently, in the future they don't have parachutes either...

The entire script was sh*t. I have no idea how it ever got the green light.

I wish they would have made that movie. You see the sprinklers go on and everyone gets soaked.

And like seriously we know that automatic sprinklers exist in this universe, they literally used them in the second movie.

They must have been recalled as the water made the ship deck slippery and dangerous to walk on.

Good point, I mean it’s definitely safer to be ejected into space and crash land on a planet than to have to walk on slippery floors.

I like to think that the ship diverted to the planet (which was the closest) to eject the humans as a last resort because the fire had overwhelmed its fire suppression system. If only it could have detected that all humans were in the pods and it could have opened the airlock to starve the fire of oxygen as a final resort before sending them off. Maybe it had safeguards so that it could never open it and it is a fully manual / human control to avoid any accidents.

Just all speculation on a sci-fi movie.
