When Genie is singing the fantastic "Friend Like Me" song Aladdin almost kisses one of those hot dancers! I just watched Aladdin for the first time in a looooooong time and I have always noticed this, but it's kind of funny considering he'd just met Jasmine and then he goes on and on about her after Genie gets them out of the Cave of Wonders.

I mean it's not that big of deal, but I just found this hilarious and it's funny the things you finally notice as you get older.

Oh yeah... I know that Aladdin wasn't in an official relationship with Jasmine at the time, but still, it rubs me the wrong way. You will miss it if you blink, he had no idea if he would even see Jasmine again, and that girl wasn't real anyway. But still, it's not what you would expect from a Disney movie.

It's definitively noteworthy. He was in love with Jasmine, but was about to kiss an other girl. Quite rare for a Disney male lead to do so.

Yeah, but by the Cave of Wonders, he was under the impression that she was some shallow girl who would never like him since he wasn't a prince anyways. So, of course, he would go attempting to kiss another girl. And since she was dumb enough to not realize who he was when he was trying to talk to her before the carpet ride, she technically did what you claim he almost did.

Yes, but to be fair she believed the boy from the marketplace had already been beheaded. So she should have held out because of her short encounter with a commoner that was executed?
