Very Interesting

Matthau takes the cake with his ways of portraying the truth.

yeah, i saw these movies (or some of them) i think on the Hallmark channel a few years ago, i wish they would show them again. (if they were like TCM, they probably would.) Hallmark has a weird way of showing movies too, like when they air a new movie, it almost imidietly stops rolling after the premiere.

silent day,
under the gray sky i stay,
a long time since my world fell apart,
but now it seems like your plans are still at the start,
and i'm still here, wandering like a ghost,
me too, given up on all hope,
in a society tearing people down,
i thought i was the only one,
now the hit has come your way,
and this society, keeps growing harder and colder everyday.

I JUST finished watching this on the Hallmark Channel about 20 minutes ago. It was indeed a very well put together story about the status of the mentally ill in our correctional facilities at that time. Whether that's still the case now, I seriously doubt it...at least not to THAT effect, but it still serves as a reminder that those who are mentally ill have just as much rights as any other human being of this planet and that NO ONE has the right to take advantage of them. It is my hope that they continue to show this sometime in the near future, and yes, it does manage to get the message across without all of the gore, sensationalism, etc that tends to accompany movies such as these. Well done!
