chances of this movie being released on blu ray?

I, like many of you, have grew up watching this childhood classic and I was wondering what do you guys think the chances are of this movie being released on blu ray?

One would hope, this is the year 2011, (this film's nearly 20 yrs old, whew!) Buena Vista Home Entertainment currently holds the home video rights, unless there's a huge demand for the title, I highly doubt it.

I'm actually curious to see how this ;looks in 720p HDTV, I've yet to catch a showing. Anyone fellas?

I will accept nothing short of a 1080p, full 3d release.

A Digitally Remastered 1080P source would be an event to behold!

I've got the uncut version on my dvr from an HBO HD showing about a year back, it's the best I've ever seen the movie look. Not quite Blu-Ray quality, but nice and crisp with a widescreen, 16x9 aspect ratio.

It just got added in HD to iTunes.

Are you able to download the movie file on iTunes? Or just stream?
