This is an amazingly awesome movie. As far as 90s nostalgia goes, its up there with TMNT 1 and 2 imo. Every SCENE reeks of 90s pop culture. You really have to put yourself in the mindset of a kid to really enjoy this one. I admit the "ay-ya's" can get a little grating and some things don't add up, but its got it where it counts. fun story, good action, surprisingly good acting all around even if it is a little campy. One of my favorite movies, don't let critics and reviews turn you off, its really worth watching if you loved the 90s and want to have a laugh.

The only thing that annoyed me about that review was his confusion when the bullies said "cake" when they were obviously shortening the common phrase (at the time, at least) "piece of cake." His five minute rant about that word was pretty idiotic.

Yes, he's wrong even though it's his own opinion.

Seriously, I understand you like the movie,m but this isn't Godfather. If you enjoyed it despite bad review, then enjoy it.

As for NC's review, I didn't like. Not because I liked the movie (I agree with him to an extent), but it felt short and underwhelming.

The NC should have layed off doing it until later so it would've been longer and had better writing. There's not much of a re-watchability factor to it. He also missed the chance for a good joke by making reference to the Dudes' Surf Magazine and Mitchell from Airborne's Surf fetish.

The problem with cake was no kids talk like that. Im sure he knew what it meant. Its a phrase only a 40 year old writing dialog for kids would come up with. I loved this movie but all his complaints see pretty valid

Naw, he was pretty dumbfounded by it. And yes, "piece of cake" was definitely a 90's thing.
