How old are the kids supposed to be?

I know Rocky is the oldest, then Colt, then Tum tum, but how old exactly are they supposed to be? Because Rocky and Colt both look like they could be the same age.

I've never conciously thought about it but I guess I always assumed it went something like: Rocky-12, Colt 11, Tum-Tum 7 or 8. Or something in and around those ages, give or take. I don't see Rocky being any older than 12 at most though.
