Anybody Know

Does anybody know what year this was filmed? I'm curious because they show Tum Tum playing SM3 on NES, which seems weird considering the SNES had come out a year before this movie was released. I'm thinking the film might have sat on the shelf for a bit, or just had a really long post production.
