I saw this movie at least 100 times when I was younger. About 20 years have passed since then, but Im almost sure the version I watched had Rocky and Colt winning thr basketball game at school. Ive watched the film a few times over the past couple of years and each time Ive rented it, the two lose to the bullies. Am I imagining things or are there two different versions?

Yes, there is an alternate cut, I was shocked when I first heard about this too, at first I kept pinching myself, I first saw this new version when it was streaming on Netflix Instant. Rocky & Colt lost b-ball game in the international version, luckily I was able to nab an HD copy on-line :)

So how is it on the dvd release in the us? Is it like the theatrical and vhs release or is it as it's now seen on cable? I used to have it on vhs the gave it away, later on saw it on tv and it was the different one
shareI have it on DVD and it's just like the theatrical US release. On the DVD version, they still win the basketball game. I was stunned when I heard about the international version and the fact that it had them lose.
