Whoever owns the copyrights...... DVD PLEASE!!

I bought this on videocassette in 1995 and it stayed in my collection for years until I gave it away to a friend as a gift a few years back... because I automatically ASSUMED it would be released on DVD eventually.

Looking back, me giving away that tape was a HUGE mistake.

Whatever happened to that SPECIAL EDITION that was being planned? I seem to recall Dave Markey talking in some interview a few years back about all the hours and hours of unused negative in his collection that he planned on including as deleted scenes or something in the DVD; that would be great, but what happened???

Yeah, no *beep* kidding, man. This wait is unbelievable. Is there any information out there at all about it's release? Last thing i've heard was from a sy.com update stating "hopes" of a release in '05.

I think I just might break down and pick up a copy from eBay.

mote.

I too bought this back in 95 and it is the only film I haven’t been able to replace with a DVD copy, I can’t think of one reason why this film hasn’t been put out on DVD. Surely this would sell and make its money back?

Found this article on the film - http://www.filmjunk.com/2007/04/10/americas-least-wanted-movies-that-still-arent-available-on-dvd/ it also mentions other long lost films that never made it to DVD

Who wants to watch this on youtube or google? This movie was not meant to be seen in a tiny window, with overly compressed visuals and sound. If you are talking about buying someone's bootlegged ripped dvdr, you are not getting the bonus material produced for the offical DVD in 2004, which is just sitting in Universal's vaults collecting dust... shame

A special anniversary DVD is slated for release this fall. Tons of extras including commentary by Dave Markey and Thurston Moore and 42 minutes of extra performances amongst them.
