no mention of Bradford Marsalis

I know he hated the show and was very unfriendly, but at least Jay mentioned Kevin Eubanks. It's like Marsalis never existed.

It's like Marsalis never existed.
He was never a major figure. Jay would not have been able timewise to acknowledge all those that were more significant.

I don't know how friendly they remained after he left, as Branford was kind of a snot. He got Jay in trouble just before Johnny left when he put down what Doc Severinsen played on the show saying, "that music is dead". That prompted Johnny to respond "anyone who doesn't like that music, doesn't know what cool is". It was probably for the best that Branford didn't stick around too long.

I'm not sure the Tonight Show would have been a hit if Marsalis had stayed. He had a very negative personality.

reply

Yes, that's true.

It was because Jay and arsenio hall were feuding, who was the best late night host (sic). That's why he was resentful and whiny. Good riddance.

Arsenio is awful and that's why his new show got cancelled after only 1 season! I could care less who Leno's band leader was. I watched because Leno's monologue was the best!

Jesus NEVER existed! He is Judeo Christian MYTH!
