Gloria

What was up with Gloria, the blonde female agent who worked for Colonel Masters? She was pretty cool and a nice female villain (between her, Lady Mulvaney and Dr. Culex and her identical twin assistants, this series had a good handful of nifty female baddies), but she was a little... off. I can't remember her ever speaking, and I also remember her surviving things that would've hurt or killed an ordinary human. All things considered, she was pretty robot-like. So what was her deal?
