Alligators don't live in Tasmania

Bull Gator and Axl are said to be alligators whereas alligators are only native to North America and parts of Asia. Therefore, they should be crocodiles.

Well, the land is called Tazmania instead of Tasmania so you could argue that Alligators can live on a fictional island. I think they chose to call them alligators because many Americans are more familiar with them than crocodiles, since the US is alligator land.

It's just a small detail. It occured to me after all these years and I had to point it out for some reason. Taz-Mania is a really creative cartoon that featured mostly species native to Oceania. Therefore, it feels a bit odd to include animals that are not. Wild boars have been introduced by humans on many continents so Buddy Boar is not out of place.
