Roxie

There was a fifth female Street Shark named "Roxie" that was with the Street Sharks for a season. I've been scouring the internet for more information about her (and a pic, of course, to see how awesome a girl Street Shark could be :p), but she's a bit "obscure", to say the least of it. Even the internet's never heard of her?

Can any of you folks help me out?

reply

didn't know that, but i know there was another one called "Jet" (i think...) who was a boxer friend of the 4 brothers, who was turned into a killer whale.

reply

Yeah, then he was nicknamed MOBY LICK.

Yeah I remember him.

There was a girl? Really? SWEET! I always thought it was unfair that there were no girl mutant characters. I don't even think she's on Wikipedia though...hang on... there's a character called "Rox", but he's a guy. Here's what they said about him:

"Rox (Melvin Kresnik): Rox was an up-and-coming musician before he stumbled upon a makeshift laboratory—supposedly Dr. Bolton's—and ate some of Paradigm's mutating popcorn that Bolton had stolen from Paradigm's warehouse earlier in the episode. Melvin goes to bed and the mutation occurs as he sleeps, turning him into a bull shark. Bolton had, however, previously developed an antidote for the mutagen, and put it in a salt shaker. As a result of ingesting the two together, Melvin still retained his hair. Dr. Piranoid had wanted to gene-slam all the people at a concert (which was to originally feature Melvin Kresnik) into mutants by combining popcorn with animal genes. Ultimately, the Street Sharks stopped Dr. Piranoid, and Rox continued to live his life as a rock star, remaining close friends with fellow musician Streex."

Rox was sexy; I loved his voice and hair...I've never heard of RoxIE though til today and I've never seen her, can't even find a pic of her online

Okay, this might seem strange but I've found apparently a *second* SS series which has the character Roxie in it. In this series the Sharks aren't even related (except for Roxie, who's Streex sister).

reply

Wikipedia got it wrong- Rox was part MAKO shark, not BULL shark.

Sorry to be a geek! lol

Apparently it's a misconception.

Also, apparently the "second" SS episodes and everything was completely made up (including most of the episodes on IMB). No idea who or why exactly someone would go around making up a whole two season's worth of episodes, but that was how it seems to be.

And apparently DIC isn't really talking about the series, so it's hard to tell what really happened later on in the series.

I found this on tv.com:

The Hot Chick

Streex's sister Roxie has been wondering where her brother has been lately. Soon she stumbles upon the shark cave and learns her missing brother is the leader of a band of mutant sharks. Just then Slobster stops in and Roxie is severely injured. They'll have to give her the shark treatment to save her. First they decide it is up to her, so they try and wake her to ask if she's willing to take the formula

Said it was seasons 1 episode 6

Next time don't buy into what the internet says. Roxie was never real.
