Actually in the first set of dvds, I believe it's in the actor interviews. They explain how the name ended up 6Killer. It was an episode that was set in the 1800s, or something like that. I never saw that episode, but, hopefully one of these days I will

It's his legal last name, the character's anyway. They had an episode that showed how his family got the name, but still, it's a native American name.

I know this is a very old post but I met a Native American Sioux who was a Marine and her last name was "Kills Many". There has also been a chief of the Cherokee called "Wilma Mankiller."

I think the real question that should be asked is why didnt you use proper grammar:

Him, & Sixkiller ?

When asking a question, try not to look like an uneducated moron.

In Walker,Texas Ranger Walker's indian name is Washo which supposedly means firewalker.Walker did not walk on fire literally in the series, but he did get into many dangerous situations from where he came out a winner.

Indians are named after the first thing the father sees after the child is born.
