Season 5 and Cheyenne

Was there any partic'lar reason why Cheyenne was written out from latter half of season 4 and entirely from season 5?

I think it was because Kathleen Kinmont, the actress who played Cheyenne, and who divorced from Lorenzo during the show, made snide comments to the media about Shauna Sand, who had appeared on the show a few times and who Lorenzo married after getting divorced from Kathleen. Kathleen was written out around the same time Lorenzo and Shauna married, around 1996.

This is exactly right. I can see where it would have been very awkward for both of them.

as @Rich Cited it was due to Friction between Kathleen and Lorenzo after he remarried...

IIRC Lorenzo shared some of the blame as he pushed to give Shauna cameos, and was being something of a D-Bag about his playmate GF...

I just finished S04, which contained Kathleen's last appearance. Kathleen's departure ended abruptly and without closure (unless that's explained in S05 episodes that I haven't yet seen). They should have let her go out with a bang and killed her off or something. I think that would have been a bit more exciting.

Based on looks alone, I definitely would not have traded Kathleen Kinmont for Shauna Sand. After viewing recent photos of both, Kathleen still looks exponentially better than Shauna.
