I have been looking into this off and on over the years myself. I was told by the ABC shop in Perth a while ago that it was never put out on video (now DVD). I have just had another look through the ABC shop web site and there is no mention of it which is a shame.
Probably one of the best TV dramas ever produced in Australia.
If you're in the UK, it's currently being shown on cable/satellite channel Zone Thriller

Just seen the opening episode of Season 2 on satellite. Don't bother with Season 2. There is absolutely no continuity with the brilliant Season 1. With the exception of one detective, all the previous Cops have disappeared with no real explanation!

Yup, picked up mine today with one of my vouchers from Christmas, soon as I saw it on the shelf I grabbed it and went up to the counter
Be great to have a better quality version of the show to watch as the VHS cassettes I had were getting very scratchy
Hopefully series 2 follows in the near future

shareGreat news!! I will be ordering the DVDs sometime soon. I have tried to watch Phoenix on Zone Thriller, but they spoil it with their constant censoring. Maybe if they were to put it on post-watershed (instead of the afternoon), they wouldn't need to censor it at all. It is the same with FX who show Water Rats. The dumb-dumbs go and stick it on pre-watershed, thus needing to make language edits. That is now two terrific police dramas from Down Under ruined by incompetent scheduling departments. It's funny how they can show more respect to their American imports.
Anyway, rant over and thanks for making us aware of the DVDs. Much appreciated.
