The Odyssey on DVD Update

Dear Odyssey Fans,

I apologize for the delay in getting any new information to you. The executive producer(s)are extremely busy so the project has finally been turned over to me due to the fact I have been dealing directly with you, the fans.

Now, in order to proceed with actually getting the DVD's done, I am hoping I can ask you all a favour. Sadly, I have only watched a few episodes of the program so am not too familiar with which episodes are more important than others(ie. symbolic events, etc). I am trying to ensure that the finished project has as much extra's as I can find so I was wondering if you guys could give me some ideas as to what you would like to see on a bonus features DVD.

Please email me directly if you can at [email protected]

Together let's make this dynamic program come back to life!

Kind Regards,

Gary Gottselig
Administrative Assistant

well personally it would be interesting if you could interview some of the actors in the series to see if they can give their opinions on how their experiences differ from any later work they have done. As well, perhaps you could find any other information on the making of the series, or even where the concept came from . And if there were any deleted scens or unaired episodes that would be great to see.

thanks again

I would be happy with just the episodes on DVD

Interview Ryan Reynolds, hell, interview all of them! I want to see what happened to the rest of the kids.

reply

i really want this series but would be quite happy just for the episodes if it's too hard for the producers to add any frills. please release it.

reply

i also agree it would be great to get interviews from some of the cast, especially ryan reynolds as he has gone on to probably the most fame from the cast. behind the scenes stuff, deleted scenes and bloopers would be fun. however i's still just be satisfied with all the episodes.

to be quite honest here. i have been deprived of this show since i was a kid. i watched it all the time and never got to see the last few episodes. in my own personal oppinion i would say just get it on dvd and get it to the fans ASAP. I would love noting more then to see this box set out before Christmas. i recently bought a box set of an older tv show and it was just the episodes and quite honestly it was one of the best boxsets i have seen. thanks and i hope to see the seasons of my favorite after school tvshow out soon...

haha i use to get up at 5 am too...love this show...episods are the most importent

Well to be honest it would jsut be great to have the series on dvd i would get all 3 seasons in a second if it were out on dvd. but ya any lost shows or extended scence would be cool but jsut the shows would be great to see it again. i used to watch it every day after school and never got to see all the episodes. it would be nice to fill in the gaps from over 12 years ago. the sooner the better. i think it should be put back in the air

One of the most interesting aspects of the show to me as an artist was the conceptual design. The sets and costumes were so unique - I'd love to see an interview with the concept artists and maybe some sketches of costumes and sets if any exist.

Get it done, i will pay quite an amount to see this as i only saw half the eps as a kid here in the uk.

It used to be shown on saturday mornings on channel4

WHERE THE HELL IS THIS DVD!?!?

AND MAKE IT REGION 0 FOR US FANS IN THE UK TO WATCH!!!!!!

THANKS!!! xD

reply

I remember this on channel 4 too! I vaugley remember it when I was young, but I liked it. So I would be interested to see it again.

One of THE best children's programmes i've ever seen.

"Get off my sister!"

Having ALL of the episodes available would be INCREDIBLE.

Tony Sampson (who played "Keith/Flash") is still around, and I'm sure he wouldn't be adverse to an interview for special features. I don't know about Illya Woloshyn or Ashleigh Aston Moore, but they can probably be reached somehow.

It seems like everyone is looking forward to a COMPLETE DVD set, as opposed to a "Best Of" series of discs.

Let us know more ASAP!!

I was looking for a movie Ryan Reynolds was in and up came the Odyssey! It was such a great show and not finding it on DVD was a great disappointment. I'd love to be able to get it and let my nieces and nephews watch it!
I'd be quite happy just to get the series on DVD, but must admit that after 15 years it would be great to see all of those involved and how they've changed!

I don't really mind not having bonus material, but one necessity is closed captioning or subtitles in english! I'm hard of hearing and wouldn't understand the words spoken if it's not in cc or subtitles!
