Q: Was Jay paralyzed at some point ?

I haven't seen the series since 1994 or something .. but I remember him being paralyzed and I've been watching music video's of scenes and see Jay falling off his bed a lot looking like he can't move his legs. I seriously do remember him being paralyzed ... does anyone remember if this is accurate or not ?? ...

Also, the episode that stuck with me more than anything for years, was the one where Jay finds himself in his home with his mother and there is rays of sunlight everywhere which makes it look like a total dream. He was dreaming wasn't he ... and why did he leave his mom like that ? ..... for some reason I never, ever forgot this episode ... I think he realized he was in a coma at that point and while he dreamnt he was seeing his mother it wasn't real so he turned away ..

:s

This is frustrating .. is the series still available on dvd ??

No he wasn't paralyzed... but he'd been in a coma for months... it's called muscular atrophy... it happens when someone is immobile for a long period of time... normally someone in a coma for 2 years would have to go through serious physical therapy in order to learn to walk/talk again... that's why they were always doing those leg exercises with him... to keep reminding his body what it was like to walk.
