I loved this show :-)

I just thought this was a wonderful little BBC gem when I watched it on the BBC in 1992/1993. Polished performances from the cast and as always a wonderful treat to watch Geraldine McEwan. I am considering buying the DVD of it to play in this region (I live in the USA today), which is I believe of the complete show. I just loved the way that it became so compelling to watch it, as week after week the viewers became aware of more of the nature and origins of Mulberry. Very nice show! :-)

I totally agree! What a treat to see a comedy where the humor is character- driven and not merely one-liners dropped into the script, as is the case with most American sit-coms. The comedy manages to be hilarious without vulgarity -- imagine! The stage experience of the cast provides for polished performances.

Oddly enough, when in the UK I have asked about Mulberry and no one recalls it. They remember Karl Howman from Brush Strokes. I think the series enjoyed more success in America via PBS exposure than it did at home.

I purchased the DVD set when it was released in US.

my boyfriend got this for christmas off my parents. we watched it almost constantly til we finished both series.
i loved it - it left a little sadness with me, but not in a bad way. i would have loved to have seen a third series, and there isn't anything like this anymore.
i recommend to everyone, and wish the bbc would just make one more episode, just to finish the fairytale.
