She enjoyed the gifts Chris gave her, but I don't think she enjoyed being with him. I'm glad Sydney didn't stay with Chris. He ran out of money to buy her things. If she had stayed, she would have been his punching bag every time he was mad.

I haven't watched all of the Melrose Place 2.0, but I don't consider it part of the original Melrose Place universe. Michael was in the hospital with his hands bandaged up that night. He wasn't an acting doctor like the 2.0 version made him in the flashbacks to the night Sydney got hit. All that stuff in the 2.0 I consider just made up fan fiction. For me Sydney died from getting hit by Samantha and her father back in 1997.
